Introducing Max Razdow’s, “The Mage” Living Oracle.

I just received this fascinating oracle deck to try out. The energy in this deck has a very curious and yet complex feel to me, of which piques my interest in exploring the archetypes of this deck.⠀⠀
Max breaks these down into the “Magely Faculties” of Wizardry, Witchcraft, Alchemy, Black Magic, Shamanism and Divination. He defines the Mages as “archetypes of personal interaction with magical flux, via occupation, technique, costume, association, and embodiment.” ⠀⠀

The Magely actions are “Gnosis” (spiritual knowledge), “Order”, “Nature”, and “Chaos”. All of which encompasses the human “Self” and how we are accountable for these actions. This is the cycle of life in it’s most esoteric form.⠀⠀
The design of the deck features Max’s illustrative artwork, while the back of the cards shows the Magely actions and “external qualities” in its symbolic form, and it’s interaction within the color energies.⠀⠀
Overall, “The Mage” is an oracle that is best to be used for personal “Self” study. To do a traditional reading with this deck would be a challenge as the meanings are structured differently. But as this oracle is more intuitively centered, perhaps after connecting with it the individual can create a more secular interpretation. ⠀⠀
I thought to share the “living oracle” as a contrast to many decks that are being produced these days. This oracle decks works on a subconscious level and is emotive in its own way.  Visit his website for more information:
I look forward to exploring this deck and applying its knowledge to my spiritual practice. Thank you Max, for creating this insightful spiritual tool!
